14th-16th August 2026

Day Two started out similar to the previous days with sweltering heat. It was another day to break out the suntan lotion for the long day ahead. 

Again, an early morning start with all the stages being put to use. On the main stage, you had Charlie Baird, Sweet Love, Woodies and Tina Sandwich while you had Cherry, Reloaded, and Katie Nicoll all performing before lunchtime. 

Kitti took to the main stage heading into the afternoon and I have to say, what an amazing voice she had with her soul and jazz inflences as did Jasmine Jet with her powerhouse vocals, so big things expected for these two artists. 

There were three artists that I had been looking forward to seeing live at this festival. Lucia & the Best Boys, Girli, and Paris Paloma, and to top it all off, they all played the Garden Stage, one right after another.

Lucia didn’t disappoint with her powerful rock vocals, Girli, who’s a singer, rapper took to the stage with her t-shirt saying “Let Trans People Pee,” and Paris Paloma who is growing rapidly as one of the new voices in pop music didn’t disappoint the fans with her energetic performance as she moved and twirled across the stage. 

It was almost time for the main act to take to the stage, The Jacksons but as I made my way to the main stage to see Cammy Barnes who was already in full flow entertaining the crowd, I have to give a big shout out to the Summer’s End team and their planning, because even with such a high volume of people at this festival, moving between stage to stage was effortless all weekend.  

By the time Cammy Barnes had finished his set, the main stage was packed as the fans all gathered to see The Jacksons. Again, I was really surprised to see the number of little kids who were screaming for them and seemed to know the words of their songs. 

It turned out that only one of The Jacksons made it, but that didn’t matter for the fans. Everyone just sang their hearts out to a family who had so many hit songs over the decades. 

Now, as I stop to take a breath of the overall event, I have to say, it was truly amazing. 

I had never seen a festival with two huge stages, and at the start of the event, I wasn’t sure if it would work, but it worked, and it worked effortlessly all weekend. As one act performed, the other stage was being set up. It was a bit strange seeing the fans move from one stage to the other, but it worked. 

The fans had non-stop entertainment all weekend without any delays, and already, the fans are buying their tickets in their hundreds if not thousands for 2027. 

Well done, Summer’s End Angus Music Festival, for bringing this to our little area of Brechin, I can’t wait for next year.
